Anniversary Celebration honoring Grandmaster Eizo Shimabukuro's 60 years of teaching

Students of O Sensei’s
from all over the United States attended a banquet held in Waterbury, CT, on October 11, 2008 to honor this occasion, his 60th anniversary of teaching.
Speeches were given by the head instructors of his dojos thanking O Sensei for his gift of knowledge and for the meaning this
relationship with him has brought into their lives.
A demonstration by various dojos followed the dinner. The event culminated with O Sensei demonstrating Toyei no Jujustu.
The banquet was organized by the hosting dojos of O Sensei’s 2008 trip to the United States. Thanks go to
them for making this a very memorable occasion for O Sensei and all the attendees.

Special Training with Grandmaster Shimabukuro
Grandmaster Shimabukuro's dedication is to teaching and preserving traditional Okinawan Karate
Do. To help those that sincerely wish to learn, Grandmaster Shimabukuro has made himself available to his students for "Special Training”.
Kata, kumite and jujutsu are covered in detail and Special Training is an experience of a lifetime. Special Training in Okinawa consists
of staying with Grandmaster Shimabukuro, in his home, and training twice a day for two weeks. Grandmaster Shimabukuro also visits his
North American dojos for Special Training.
